Classroom Behavior
Behavior expectations are defined by our PBIS Framework. The PBIS Framework is a shorthand representation of the student code of conduct. Students are expected to know and demonstrate respect for these expectations.
Upon receiving a warning for any undesirable behavior, students are given a chance to refocus their efforts. Neglecting to do so will result in consequences appropriate for the infractions. Students are expected to know and adhere to policies as they are outlined in the student handbook.
Independence
Improving in Language Arts requires that you read as often as possible. You must be familiar with the reading expectations of this class and make time to read when you are not in school.
You should prepare yourself and all of your materials (sharpening pencils, getting paper or tissues, etc.) before class. Except when it keeps you from being able to do what is expected at the time, it is considered impolite to ask to do these things during instruction.
Restroom breaks
Restroom breaks are permitted on an occasional basis and always in case of emergency. You must take a pass before you leave the room and remember to return when you re-enter class.

Materials
You are expected to have all daily materials upon entering the classroom. There are extra materials in the room for your use if you have forgotten something, but repeated incidents will result in a phone call home and/or disciplinary action.
